Catching the Ferry at Dover

Brambles B&B Kent is located just a few miles from Dover Ferry terminal, it is ideal if you dont want to miss the allocated sailing time and allows you to start your holiday in a relaxed way. It all boils down to choice, spend the evening hoping the traffic will be kind in the morning and you will catch the ferry or stay the evening at Brambles B&B enjoying a late breakfast.

It is always possible to stay in Dover itself and then be ready for the ferry and with 16 million travellers, 2.1 million lorries, 2.8 million cars and motorcycles and 86,000 coaches passing through the port each year it is a busy Town.

Recent guests coming from the continent remarked that they found Brambles B&B just the right distance from the Port as it allowed them a chance to get used to driving on the opposite side of the road without attempting a main road system. For them, having spent many hours driving to the Ferry across mainland Europe it was a welcome break which also worked well for them on the return journey.

What we offer is a good start to your holiday, sit in the garden with a drink listening to bird song, enjoy a freshly made evening dinner platter, sleep in a clean comfortable bed in tastefully decorated surroundings and in the morning choose from our great breakfast menu.

There is a school of thought that having spent time organising your holiday, making travel arrangements and earning the money to pay for a holiday break it is only logical to make the most of the time. Yes Brambles is not the cheapest B&B you can stay at and we are not near shops and restaurants but maybe that’s what makes it better. I hate to use the phrase ‘ lets not miss the boat’ but in this context its a good analogy, book early, indulge yourself and don’t miss the boat.
