Lost in Kent

Kent is a great place to visit, it has an ever changing landscape of little villages, fields of corn or hops & towns steeped in history. When we first started looking for a house to use as a Bed & Breakfast we almost overlooked the Brambles as it was not in our search area of Canterbury, what it did have was a great look and upon inspection the layout proved ideal.

We had surmised incorrectly that we would be too far from tourist hotspot area’s but as it turned out this was our unique selling point as we are equidistant 20 minutes from Canterbury and Dover thus avoiding the crowded noisy towns at night and enabling people to get a good nights sleep. We often have guests from the continent (bonjour und guten abend) who stay for a couple of days exploring the area, similarly we have guests from more northern area’s of the UK that are catching the Dover ferries or cruise ships.

For us it has given the opportunity to include much into the guests stay as we are proud to promote events in Sandwich or recommend local restaurants for an evening meal. I guess what I am saying is for whatever reason you book with us, be it walking the north downs way or Seal watching in Sandwich we will always aim to make our part in your travel plans a memorable part so the holiday starts off well.

As the old Chinese proverb says ‘a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step’ make that first step booking a stay with us, that last bit is not part of the proverb obviously.
